A storefront rebuilt for speed and scale
We rebuilt RetailHub's storefront from the ground up for speed and conversion — faster pages, a smoother checkout, and a search experience that actually finds what shoppers want.

Overview
A fast-growing store on a slow foundation
RetailHub's traffic was climbing but its conversion rate wasn't. Heavy pages, a clunky checkout, and weak search meant shoppers bounced before they bought — especially on mobile.
Highlights
- Headless storefront rebuilt for Core Web Vitals
- A streamlined, fewer-step checkout tuned for mobile
- Semantic search and merchandising over a large catalog
- Live inventory and pricing surfaced everywhere it matters

The challenge
At this scale, every hundred milliseconds and every extra checkout step costs real revenue. The rebuild had to be dramatically faster and easier without losing the catalog depth shoppers relied on.
Our approach
We moved to a headless, edge-rendered storefront, rebuilt checkout around fewer steps and saved details, and layered semantic search plus merchandising over the full catalog.
The outcome
RetailHub's pages load in under a second, checkout abandons far less often, and conversion is up double digits — the same traffic now turns into meaningfully more completed carts.
What we built
The pieces that made it work
Headless storefront
Edge-rendered pages that hit top Core Web Vitals scores.
Fast checkout
Fewer steps, saved details, and mobile-first flows.
Semantic search
Shoppers find the right product even with fuzzy queries.
Live inventory
Real stock and pricing shown across the whole store.
Merchandising
Rules and ranking that put the right items first.
Analytics
Funnel insight that shows exactly where carts are won and lost.
Under the hood
“Same traffic, a lot more revenue. The speed alone paid for the whole project in the first quarter.”
